Clay Johnson: John and I have actually worked together for 21 years in the mortgage business, and it’s been a pleasure the entire time, and there have been a lot of things that we’ve liked about the business. John, what would you say, if you were to pick a couple of them?
John Harrison: One of the best things that I do like is, I love helping people get into houses. There’s nothing like seeing someone think that their life has just changed for the better.
Clay Johnson: The crazy part is, over two-thirds of the population thinks you have to have 15% or more down. And what have we learned about that, John?
John Harrison: Yeah, the great thing is, we’re trying to get rid of that myth that’s out there. And the reality is, there are seven hundred 100% financing programs here in Utah that we use all the time. There are also 29 grants that people can use to get into a house, basically, for $1,000 or less in most cases.
Clay Johnson: It’s kind of crazy. So folks don’t let it hold you back. Rates are still great.
John Harrison: Yeah.
Clay Johnson: We’re also doing a lot of debt consolidation and cash-out refinances to help people save money on a monthly basis.
John Harrison: Yeah, I know they just said rates are down to the best in almost two years.
Clay Johnson: I know.
John Harrison: And we’re doing several cash-out refinances all the time, especially with the values of houses going up so quickly. A lot of times we can get you out of your mortgage insurance, within about two years or less.
