This course has been around for a really long time and was one of the very first that I got to teach outside of the State of Utah, my home state, and that is drum roll, the Resort, and Second Home Properties Specialist Course, the RSPS Certification.
Why would anyone want this course?
Why would anyone want this course? Because it is all about dreaming, it’s all about fun. Where in the world would you like to live? And first of all, when we change that perspective for ourselves and potentially either invest in our own product by investing in a second home or an investment property, we can better help buyers and sellers make those decisions for themselves as they invest in real estate. So not just resort and second home but also investment properties.
There are some key components to this course that will really help you leverage a lot of the learning that you have developed in other courses, for example, 1031 exchanges. I remember taking a 1031 exchange course early in my real estate career because it was free and it was offered and I thought, “Where in the world, how am I going to use this?” That is exactly where you use it, when you’re trying to help an investor.
You’ve got to know what they are going to ask.
You’ve got to learn about return on investment and some of the things that an investor’s going to look for, questions they’re going to ask so that you can be able to help them at the highest level.
What are some of the issues that you might face when working with a celebrity client? We address those as well in addition to helping differentiate between your marketplace and other marketplaces and learning how to be an ambassador in your own community.
