Your cell phone has apps that can help keep you safe

Hi, Everybody, Cheryl Knowlton coming at you with this week’s safety tip of the week.

Today, we’re going to talk about your smartphone. If you have an Apple device, and I have an Apple device, so I’m more familiar with that. No offense to all of my Android friends, but there is an app on here called Find My Friends. You need to activate that, and share your location with at least three other people who know you and love you.

And, obviously, not anyone who’s going to stalk you. We don’t want any weirdness, that’s exactly what we’re trying to avoid. But you want people, your significant other, perhaps your kids, perhaps your broker, to be able to locate you in the event that there is any question about your safety, or your whereabouts.

Another really cool thing that I do know about Apple watches, I used to have one, my husband still has one, loves it, is it’s very, very easy to just press one little button and call 911. If you find yourself in a dangerous situation, you want the tools of technology to be your friend, and to be very, very easy for you to use without drawing any suspicion as to what you are doing.

Look into those tools, technologically and otherwise, that you can utilize to help keep you safe.

Please, like and share this video with anyone you feel could benefit from it, and comment on the technologies and tools, and maybe even other apps, that you have used to help keep you safe on the job.
